In 2010, Christoph Krachten founded VideoDays, Europe’s largest YouTube festival. Having worked for many years as a TV journalist and producer, including for RTL Television and WDR, Krachten was one of the first media makers in Germany to spot the potential of online video, and duly set up VideoDays. In addition to nurturing the VideoDays concept, as a media veteran who knows the sector inside out, Krachten advises businesses on how to adapt their communications strategies to the latest trends in online video.
He also produces online video content for various companies such as ARD and ZDF, and is actively involved in artist management and content development.
In April 2017, VideoDays was acquired by the online video company Divimove, part of RTL Group, where Krachten has since worked as Creative Head of VideoDays, sharing responsibility for the ongoing development of the event's concept.
