Marco de Ruiter is Managing Director of Fox Networks Group Germany since 2013 and Managing Director of National Geographic Partners in Germany. In his role, he is responsible for the development of the FNG portfolio in the fields of entertainment, factual, and sports as well as the business development of National Geographic Partners in the fields of publishing, licensing, and travel in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. As Executive Vice President and member of the management team of Fox Networks Group Europe and Africa, he is also responsible for the group’s businesses in Benelux and France.
Furthermore, Marco de Ruiter is active as an angel investor for start-up companies that specialize in media and technology. Marco previously worked at Viacom where he had held various positions since 2002. His last role was Chief Operating Officer for Viacom in Northern Europe and Managing Director of the international media centers in Amsterdam and London. Prior to that, he held various positions in the finance management sector at multinational companies in the Netherlands, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua.
Marco de Ruiter was born in the Netherlands in 1970, studied business economics and lives in Amsterdam. He is married with three children.
