Jon Cotton

As Vice President of Content Development, Entertainment Networks for NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment, Jon Cotton is responsible for the creative oversight of all digital content for USA Network, Syfy, Chiller and Cloo, which includes the strategic planning, creative development, production, and promotion of content for digital and social platforms. Based in New York, Cotton reports to Jeffrey Kaufman, SVP of Digital, and Alexandra Shapiro, EVP of Marketing & Digital.

Prior to adding Syfy and Chiller to his purview in June 2016, Cotton was Vice President, Content Development for USA Network. In the six years he has worked at USA, Cotton has created numerous award-winning digital content campaigns, supporting series including MR. ROBOT, SUITS, PSYCH, CHRISLEY KNOWS BEST, COLONY, BURN NOTICE, GRACELAND, COVERT AFFAIRS, POLITICAL ANIMALS, ROYAL PAINS and WHITE COLLAR.

A graduate of Brown University, Cotton first entered the entertainment industry working in the Motion Picture Lit department of the Endeavor Talent Agency (now WME). He then worked as a development executive at Das Films, an independent film production company specializing in book adaptations. While there, Cotton helped build a development slate of over 15 projects, including Still Life with Woodpecker, November Man, Veronika Decides to Die, Open House, Goodbye Mexico, and The Lie.

Outside of work, Cotton is an avid reader, golfer, and guitar player. He lives in Brooklyn, NY, with his fianc Lizzie and their dog Preston.
